For an hour,
Or two,
An afternoon,
Or day,
We wander the streets aimlessly
And people-watch,
Window shop,
Spray our wrists with every perfume in the store,
Until I'm a walking chemical flower shop, and we laugh
Together.
Take the risk
Of being judged
Be air headed
Of being childish
To be spontaneous.
Say yes to things we've always wanted to try
Or do again
The things from our childhoods
Together.
Paint the seashore with the color of sandcastles,
Taste the ice cream cones on the summer breeze,
Roll down hills just to make your dog laugh,
Just like he makes you laugh every day.
Dance to a street musician's tune,
Take the bus to the next town,
Impulse buy what we won't regret,
Trade massages and sway like branches in a storm
Together.
Who said doing nothing is a waste of time?
It's the little moments of nothing
Where we see beauty in the useless
And realize just how alive we are
Together.
