“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
If you don't fear failure, if you don't risk anything, if you would not be disappointed when you fail, then what is that dream worth to you? Is that what it means when people say "Do something you fear every day"? Are the things we fear the things that matter?
The more you want something, the greater the chasm between here and there because in the event of failure disappointment will crush you, you want it that badly, and you know it will hurt so you're afraid to begin the journey. But if you never take a step forward you will never reach your goal. You will have failed before you begin.
