I love probability. It's in my blood.
I don't mean to brag. Not that it matters, most of you who read this already know anyway. The math team back home calls me Queen of Probability. It was probably the one thing I was good at. The one thing I was best at. Somehow, it's intuitive.
I got so excited when I saw that probability was one of the topics in my statistics class. We start it this week, and it's going to be on the midterm next Thursday. But at least so far, it's only been the most basic - coin toss and dice problems. "If you flip ten coins, what are the chances that only one is heads?" "If you roll six dice, what are the chances that they're all sixes? That they're all smaller than sixes?" I've gotta give them some credit for playing card questions, too, I suppose. But seriously?
So over the weekend I did the homework that's due Wednesday, and I turned it in today.
My TA: "But he hasn't lectured on probability yet."
Yes, I know. That's tomorrow. *sigh* I think this class insults my intelligence.
I just told Anna, "I think I'll take algebraic topography to keep my brain alive."
Anna: "What does that have to do with your major?"
Me: "Absolutely nothing. I'll just take it pass/fail, and for fun."
I miss math :(
