R-pop

I always hear about K-pop, C-pop, J-pop. And I never get it. I tend to put a lot of meaning behind lyrics, so why would you listen to a song when you don't know the what it means? Or if you can't sing along?

Last summer, I started to study Russian. Why? Because I wanted to sing along to R-pop. At least it's not Asian...

There's only really one artist I listen to in Russian, and that's Vitas. If you don't know him, he's famous for his really really high voice. People keep thinking he's gay or he's a castrato, which annoys me to no end. (No, he's married with children.) I don't know why his music gets to me so much, but it does. And I can sing along!! :D That makes everything worthwhile, even if I can only understand the pronouns. Lyric translations help.

When school ends, this will probably be more like a diary, rather than a blog. But I can't get over the fact that it's public....-.- I will have to do something about that...
