Okay, it's been coming on for a while, and it's not that bad yet. It's just that college is starting to get to be a reality for me, and it's scary. Today in advisory, BBB(Bed Bath & Beyond) sent us each a coupon with all the stuff they think we'll need in college. I hadn't thought about most of this stuff before. I'd been thinking clothes, sheets and blanket, laptop, stuff like that. They list
-plates and bowls, cutlery and utensils (see, you actually need these things, but they never crossed my mind.)
-bedside table (do you REALLY need one of these? do you REALLY have room for it in your dorm?)
-computer chair (I thought the dorm had a chair. I thought you'd do most of your studying inthe library/coffee shop/outside?)
-floor lamp (you'd think they have lighting, too, but a table lamp would be useful for late nights)
-towels (just bring these from home, right?)
-batteries/light bulbs/hangers/first aid kit/closet rod, see I just don't THINK about these things. But now it's real, and it's coming.
I've always longed for adventure, but now that I'm facing adventure, oh why am I so scared? -Maria, Sound of Music
