Expectations and Delusions

I've been learning about what love means for me.
To love me for who I am,
Not for what I can do for you.
Learning about the kind of person I am attracted to,
How I love too easily,
Who I can fall in love with.

Asking what is my heart, what is my mind, and what is my body
and are there distinctions between them
and what about the soul?

I love you because you are.
Then, perhaps
I love you because of what you do.
I love you because of who you are.
I love you for the dreams you have.
I love you for the choices you make.

And if it all works out,
those loves will never end,
because I will continue to discover you
and you will continue to surprise me
and make me laugh.
And finally,
I will also love you because you're mine.

Allow me my small delusions :)
