11-7-10 6:53PM I saw the most admirable attitude today.
As you get older, how do you not forsake God? How are you grateful?
Today at church I overheard a woman talking about aging. She said that she walks like a penguin now (her younger listener denied it); her hands don't move and her knees don't move. She said that she used to wear high heels, and now she can't, so she's given all of her beautiful shoes away (her listener expressed dismay). She said that she's grateful to God that she can still function at all, and that "I guess God wants me to wear flat shoes."
I can only hope I'll have that thankful attitude at that age.
