SUCCESS!!!!
The chemistry class that has the same schedule as mine meets 6-7, and Rosheger has agreed to let me out of symphony orchestra to attend Chem on the days I have rehearsal with Chamber. It'll be once a week at first, then twice as the show gets closer. ^^
Eric: "I'm surprised people will make arrangements for you like that. Is it because you're a senior? Or because you're Mengsha?"
I'd like to think that it's because I want to do the musical, and that anyone else would be able to do this too, given that their schedules work out. But realistically, it probably helps that Rosheger knows me really well, and that my chem teacher also happens to be my advisor. Oh, and the fact that I have an A in chem and that the class is easy definitely adds to the probability, too. So...it's because I'm Mengsha? There are precedents. Mrs. Flanigan says Adrian and another girl have gotten out of class for Cho-Op, too.
Mr. Rosheger is writing a rehearsal schedule right now, so I'll know when I need to go to Chamber.
Adding 3 pebbles to the happy wagon - that makes about 18. :D
5:04PM I had another of those moments today. The librarian offered me a book that was on hold, because she doubted the boy she was holding it for would come back for it that day, and she knew that I would have it back by tomorrow. I turned it down - I'd rather have it tomorrow anyway.
But all of these things make me sound like a teacher's pet. I don't think I am one - it's just the way I act: I try to get along with teachers and get to know them, I take a lot of classes and do relatively well, and I don't cause trouble. It's just 'cus I'm Mengsha.
